Miquel Beltrán is currently Professor of Philosophy at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (Spain). He has been Post-doctoral fellow at the Università degli Studi di Venezia (Italy) for two years, and researcher at the CNRS (Paris) as a Marie Curie Fellow for two more years. He has also carried out research at the Università Autònoma de Barcelona, and at the Instituto de Filosofía, Madrid, during five years. He is author of more than sixty articles published in international journals, most of them on Jewish and Islamic Medieval and Modern Philosophy, and he is also author of a book on Spinoza: Un espejo extraviado. Spinoza y la filosofía hispano-judía (1998), and another, as co-author, on Maimonides (El Dios de Maimónides, 2005). He has also been fellow of private and public institutions like the Fundación Ortega y Gasset, the Netherlands Universities Foundation for International Cooperation, and the Instituto Camoes, among others. He has been chief researcher of Projects: "Spinoza y la comunidad judía de Ámsterdam" (2006-2009), "La influencia de Abraham Cohen de Herrera sobre Spinoza" (2009-2012), y "Filosofía y cábala en Puerta del Cielo" (2013-2015).
